A “real” cottage with roses around the door, ideal for a couple or family of three. Well equipped but retaining all the character of a cottage dating back to 1736. To the rear is an enclosed private cottage garden with furniture. The front faces south with views of the village green and the Cheviot Hills. Paxton is a small quiet village 5 miles from Berwick where everyday shopping can be done. The cosy pub next door serves excellent food and there are many other places to eat locally including the cafe at nearby Paxton House with its house and grounds to explore. The historic city of Edinburgh is only 60 miles by road or easily accessed on the train from Berwick.
